Tribal Hill is a unique Texas wine created by award-winning winemaker Chris Caldwell. Each vintage of Tribal Hill will focus on a single proprietary super-blend of red wine sourced from the most coveted and sought-after vineyards across the Texas appellation.
Our vision is simple: Focus exclusively on crafting and perfecting the best Texas wine. For Tribal Hill, this means limiting production and focusing on one wine and one wine only. This singular focus allows us perfect the vintage year after year - not being distracted by a broad portfolio of wine and varying production methods. The result is greater freedom to experiment with different varietals, selecting only those which meet our strict quality goals.
Some of the core varietals we work with each year that thrive in Texas include Aglianico, Alicante Bouschet, Barbera, Cinsault, Grenache, Montepulciano, Mourvèdre, Nebbiolo, Negroamaro, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese, Souzão, Syrah, Tannat, Tempranillo, and Tinta Cão.
